In Spain we use to say "Mucha policía, poca diversión"... more or less "more police, less fun"...
It's sad, to think that the "better" thing that they had to do today is stay at the door of Longbridge...

Well they say a picture says a thousand words, well done to the person that took that.
I feel like printing loads of flyers with the slogan "What's wrong with this picture" on it.
I wouldn't lose track of that picture it's historically quite valuable I'd imagine.

Those 2 police cars spoil the view.

I'd just like to say that the Police force workers I spoke too were in support of our cause!
Its not the average Police ma or woman on the street who decides which cars they have to drive, its their bosses!

And it isn't just the Police driving foreign motors. How much difference would it have made if all HMG's departments had bought British? Enough to pay for developement of some new cars?
A few years ago I was stopped my a very nice policeman in a Triumph 2.5PI. (I said it was a few years ago!) I was so impressed at the speed he caught up with me I bought the same model. I'm sure the same would apply nowadays if people were stopped by a policeman in an MG or Rover.

Thanks for the comments Chaps, it made my blood boil when I spotted them. Perhaps I should have titled it Spot the mistake by HM Government.

Robbo. You're so right. I hadn't realised when I posted just how true my remarks were.

Baz,
I think you should contact all the Press outlest that have used your picture and charge them. I've seen it in a few publications, someone is ripping you off! You should be asked and then set your price!

I mailed the Independant editor and did not receive a reply. Just shows you their integrity doesn't it?
